Purchasing a sound car insurance policy is advantageous enough in itself as it provides policy holders reliable coverage in case of accidents as well as gives motorists peace of mind whenever they are out on the road. However, there are some less obvious benefits that are commonly included in auto insurance policies such as:
1. Car insurance policy holders do not need to worry if they bought a new vehicle and inadvertently forgot to inform their insurance provider immediately. Car insurance normally provides a 30-day of coverage for newly-acquired cars.
2. Most insurance policies provide limited reimbursements for transportation in case you cannot reach your destination following a vehicular accident.
3. Coverage may also be extended to others people who are driving the insured car. For example, if a family member drove the car with or without permission, coverage will still be provided for them in case of accidents.
4. The deductible for collision coverage is waived when an accident involves two vehicles that are insured by the same company.
5. Deductibles may also be waived for payment for damaged windshield that is repaired instead of replaced.
6. Policy holders may receive up to a specified amount of money for wages lost during court testimony concerning a car accident.
7. Stereo equipment broken in a crash may be covered up to a specified amount if the primary control unit is installed in places specified by the insurance provider.
8. Coverage will also be provided for personal effects damaged in a crash such as clothes, luggage, etc., up to a certain amount.
9. Payment for travel expenses will also be provided to the policy holder in case the car gets stolen or damaged.
10. Bail bonds premiums for traffic related violations will also be provided for the policy holder.
Note that there is a waiting period before some of these benefits will be received. Also, it is best to read your insurance policy carefully or seek the help of representatives from your insurance providers to discuss the specific conditions and terms of coverage indicated on your insurance plan.

very interesting and helpful post, i will surely invite my friends to have a look upon this blog. i would also like to say that If you are involved in an accident whether it is you fault or not, it is a condition of your car insurance policy that you do not admit liability of any kind, at the scene of the accident. This can be particularly frustrating if you are the victim, because even though the other driver may be obviously at fault, they are not allowed to admit it.
When making car accident claims to your car insurance company ensure that you detail all events at the incident of the accident including a sketch or photographs of the scene and the damage.
